Comments about Sam Taylor's Bar-B-Q
The waitresses here tie a bib around your neck without being asked — and you'll be glad they did, what with all the lip-smacking and finger-licking that goes on here. Listen to Chicago blues on the sound system as you happily gnaw on the big, meaty, hickory-smoked ribs. The straightforward ''sammiches'' — over-filled with barbecue beef, pork, hot links or fried fish — come with great housemade potato chips. (John Lehndorff, Rocky Mountain News)
Sam's been pleasing folks with his 'que longer than most people can remember. A Denver legend. (Warren Byrne, The Restaurant Show AM-1430 KEZW)
Don't know what's in the sauce that smothers the delicious brisket but I cannot seem to get enough of it!
I've had ribs in St. Louis, KC, New Orleans, New York. These are the best ribs in the USA by far.
Member KC Barbeque Society. Sam's is real barbeque with attention to details. Consistent.
These are the very best ribs in all of Denver. They also have terrific homemade potato chips. There is only one problem, don't wear anything that is tight fitting or you will be miserable. One other important thing is that the staff are all very friendly as is Sam and his wife.
My wife and I went to Sam Taylor's for the first time 3 weeks ago, and we've been back every Sunday since. In fact, I'm taking some business colleagues there this Friday for lunch. I've had alot of BBQ — Gainsville to Seattle, NYC to Phoenix — but I've never tasted anything better than Sam's "BBQ Briskette Sammich" Heck I'll be there again on Sunday . . . See you there!
Absolutely the best BBQ Pork sandwich I've had in 25 years! Sam makes everyone feel at home with a smile and a handshake. The food arrived within minutes. Hot towels make the clean-up a pleasure.
Sam Taylor's barbeque was the best barbeque dining experience of my life. I'm from the South and i've never tasted better food!
Sam Taylor's is by far the best BBQ I've had around town. I recommend the "BBQ Poke Dinner". Service has always been very prompt and courteous. Sammy comes out from cookin' every now and then just to say "hi" and see how things are. I would have to say its one of the most friendly atmospheres I have seen in a restaraunt. The only thing better than the service is the food, and that's a good thing.
I loved Sam Taylor's BBQ. No matter what special need you have it can be taken care. The hospitality is great and it is a make your self at home kind a place that anybody fits in. I loved the food and you get what you pay for a great experience with great food and great service
Never ate BBQ before because I thought I wouldn't like it. After Sam's hospitality and great food, I went back weekly. I love the ribs. I'm flying back to Denver in two weeks and as soon as I get off the plane, I'm heading for Sam's.
I have had bbq from all over the country. I was raised in KC. The is Denver's only decent bbq joint. Excellent "sammiches" good chips.
Sam's is one of the best barbeque joints anywhere in the country, let alone Denver. The atmosphere, the ambiance, and the food all just seem so country-style, lots of carbs to go on the side, plenty of bread (they call it texas toast) and if Sam is in the house he'll be sure to stop and ask how the food is. Extra good is the brisket, and the "pork samich" is also highy recomended.
I was very surprised to find BBQ like I had it back east (southeast that is). The bbq "poke" sandwich was great!
I've been to Texas, New York, KC, St. Louis, and Memphis. This is easily the best BBQ anywhere.
